Protecting Our Children from ??

Well, at least the Supreme Court gets kudos for this one.  Yes, violence is awful, and it's not good to expose children to it.  But to force video game companies to clean up their act opens up a whole 'nuther set of issues indeed.  The argument that a child is willingly complicit in the violence by pressing on the controller buttons holds no water vs all the violence they can read about or see on tv, hear on the news, etc.  First Amendment protections for the video game makers.

But there's no sex in your violence, is there?  (Apologies to Bush...I'll make it up to them by promoting "Everything Zen" below).  If the video games show sex, or nudity, are they still just exercising their First Amendment Rights?  Apparently not, because we as a culture haven't cared about violence but we damn sure don't wanna see no tits...
